First Rabies Positve Bat for 2014

Bat had contact with a senior on Quincy St. near Orman Avenue. Bat was sent for testing and was positive for Rabies.

Bats often roost in older homes or any place they can find cover. People should assess their homes and outer openings to ensure they are adequately protected and sealed.

Please remember to report any contact with a bat or suspected contact with a bat! If the bat flies into or hits you or a family member at any time it is considered significant contact and should be reported.
